4. Cut back military by 2% per year for ten years. This could involve the following, though potentially less or more:
  • Bring troops home from Europe and Asia;
  • Quickly wrap up the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan;
  • Trim the Army and consider directing some of the freed up resources to the Navy and Air Force;
  • and reduce our stockpile of nuclear weapons.
